GALERIA JORGE SHIRLEY was founded in 1999 in the city of Porto (Portugal) as Galeria Arte & Manifesto. It operated under its original name until 2003.

In that year it opened a new 400m2 space in Lisbon (Portugal), spread through 2 floors of open space.

Today, this space aims to present new emerging artists, Portuguese and foreign.

The gallery is currently working with a group of artists, from Portugal and abroad, and has established partnerships with galleries in Italy and Spain.
